单词量对于任何外语考试都非常重要，在新托福考试中，考试形式虽然发生了一定的变化，但是对词汇量的要求却没有减少。很多考生会选择在备考的第一天买一本厚厚的单词书，定好计划，然后从A背到Z。

词汇的记忆真的没有什么捷径，反复记忆和及时巩固仍然是背单词的关键。但如果备考的时间有限，平时又实在是没有太多的精力来每天背一百个单词再复习两百个，那么笔者建议还是选择一些重要的词汇在考前进行重点突击。
